สิ่งที่เยาวชนต้องการ
“We want to have more opportunities to learn about sex and sexuality. We don’t have these spaces in our schools and want them other places to do that.
เราอยากมีโอกาสที่จะได้เรียนรู้เรื่องเซ็กส์ และเพศศึกษามากขึ้น แต่พวกเราไม่สามารถเรียนรู้เรื่องเหล่านี้ได้ที่โรงเรียน เราจึงอยากให้มีสถานที่อื่นๆที่เราสามารถเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้ได้”
“We want a chance to learn more about ourselves and who we really are.

What Youth Identify as the Largest Challenges
สิ่งที่เยาวชนเห็นตรงกันว่าคือปัญหาที่ใหญ่ที่สุด
“Thai society won’t allow sex and sexuality conversations to be normalized so we can’t talk openly about these things.
เราไม่สามารถพูดเรื่องเซ็กส์ และเพศศึกษาได้อย่างเปิดเผย”
“Thailand hasn’t been able to create our own concept of sex and sexuality education and the current models, curriculums and teachers are not attuned to us.
ประเทศไทยไม่มีหลักสูตร และครูผู้สอนเซ็กส์และเพศศึกษาที่เหมาะสมกับเยาวชน”
“Teachers don’t want to teach us about sex and sexuality, so that makes it hard for us to learn and trust what they tell us.
ครูผู้สอนไม่กล้าพูดเรื่องเซ็กส์และเพศศึกษาได้อย่างเปิดเผย ซึ่งทำให้เป็นการยากต่อนักเรียนที่จะเชื่อในสิ่งที่ครูผู้สอนได้สอนในห้องเรียน”
“Our parents do not have knowledge in sex education so they can talk to us about it.

Where Youth Prefer to Learn
ที่ที่เยาวชนอยากเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับเรื่องเพศศึกษา
“I don’t want to learn about sex from the same person who teaches us math. It doesn’t’ make sense and it’s uncomfortable.
เราไม่อยากเรียนเรื่องเพศจากครูที่สอนวิชาคณิตศาสตร์ มันไม่สมเหตุสมผล และทำให้เรารู้สึกไม่สบายใจ”
Why Youth Created Their Solutions
ทำไมเยาวชนจึงลุกขึ้นมาแก้ปัญหาด้วยตัวเองเขาเอง
“Knowing about prevention is one thing, but being able to have access to the things you need is equally important. We don’t have that yet.
ความสามารถในการเข้าถึงวิธีการป้องกันตัวเองนั้นสำคัญพอๆกับการรู้จักวิธีป้องกัน แต่เรายังไม่มีความสามารถนั้น”
“We can find reliable answers sometimes, but it’s far easier to find wrong answers for these topics. It’s time to change that.
เราสามารถหาคำตอบที่เชื่อถือได้บางครั้งก็จริง แต่มันง่ายกว่ามากที่เราจะเจอกับข้อมูลผิดๆสำหรับเรื่องเหล่านี้ มันถึงเวลาที่ต้องเปลี่ยนแล้ว”
“If youth are just talking to youth about sex and sexuality, we will still have to fight with our parents about this or keep ignoring it. I think change will happen faster if we can include them. They were taught what they were taught too—maybe it’s time we ALL start questioning it.
ถ้าพูดเรื่องเซ็กส์และเพศศึกษากับเยาวชน พวกเราก็ต้องกลับไปทะเลาะกับพ่อแม่เมื่อพูดถึงเรื่องนี้อยู่ดี หรือไม่ก็เพิกเฉยไป เราคิดว่าการเปลี่ยนแปลงจะเกิดขึ้นได้เร็วกว่านี้ถ้าเราให้ผู้ปกครองมีส่วนร่วมในการแก้ปัญหา พวกเขาก็ถูกสอนมาแบบนั้นเหมือนกัน มันถึงเวลาแล้วที่พวกเราทุกคนจะมาร่วมกันสร้างการเปลี่ยนแปลง

“It’s a one-stop-shop that offers support to figure out who you are, and what you want in your life and relationships. It is also run by us (youth), so it’s more open.
มันคือศูนย์รวมทุกอย่าง ที่ให้การสนับสนุนในเรื่องของการค้นหาตัวตน เป้าหมายในชีวิต และความสัมพันธ์ ทั้งหมดนี้ถูกดำเนินการโดยเยาวชน ซึ่งจะทำให้เปิดกว้างกว่า”
